EDCO Announces 2026 Regional Host Communities for Professional Development Events
The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) is proud to announce the selected host communities for its 2026 Regional Events and Big City Leaders Forum. These events are a cornerstone of EDCO's commitment to fostering professional development and collaboration among economic development professionals across Ontario.
In 2026, EDCO will host four in-person, full-day regional events in Northern, Southwestern, Central, and Eastern Ontario. Each gathering will welcome 50–70+ professionals from both the public and private sectors, offering a platform to explore regional issues, share best practices, and engage with current programs shaping the economic development landscape.
Submissions to host these events were evaluated by a panel of third-party judges using rigorous criteria. EDCO received an exceptional array of proposals this year, reflecting the strength and enthusiasm of Ontario's economic development community.
2026 Regional Host Communities:
- Northern Ontario: City of Sault Ste. Marie
- Eastern Ontario: United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry
- Central Ontario: Township of Clearview
- Southwestern Ontario: Wellington County
2026 Ontario Big City Leaders Forum Host:
- City of Windsor
