A new report by CBRE finds that Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa rank in the top three respectively among Canada's tech-talent markets for strong labour pools and job growth. Montreal grabs the number four spot, while Calgary surprised to round out the top five. Four out of the 10 cities surveyed are within Ontario. You can read the full ranking below.

    1. Toronto, ON
    2. Vancouver, BC
    3. Ottawa, ON
    4. Montreal, QC
    5. Calgary, AB
    6. Halifax, NS
    7. Edmonton, AB
    8. Waterloo, ON
    9. Winnipeg, MB
    10. London, ON
Interestingly though, despite starting from a smaller base, explaining their low overall rankings, the highest percentage of tech job growth can be found among Canada's smaller and less expensive markets. This suggests firms are spreading out from the major tech centres (Toronto, Vancouver & Montreal) into smaller and cheaper markets.
