Is your community prepared to meet the Tourism Investment Dragons?

The Economic Developers Council of Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, will be hosting the fifth annual Tourism Investment “Meet the Investor Dragons” event in Toronto.

  • LJM Developments
  • Knight Developments
  • Wyndham Hotels
  • Rob Spanier Group
  • Masterbuilt Hotels
  • Sunray Group

The Dragons are interested in commercial land sites consisting of waterfront parcels, parking lots, agricultural plots, parklands, vacant buildings, or local historical assets in need of new investment.  These sites could be repurposed for accommodations, attractions, entertainment, food and culinary, land space to host major events, retail and travel-related operations. 

You have the choice of a morning or afternoon session.

Morning Session Format:

Arrive at the OITC at 9:30 am. At 10:00 am, we begin with a brief overview of the program followed by the Dragons’ introductions.  At approximately, 10:30 am, the fun begins. 

You and your municipal colleague will be seated at a numbered table along with your first Dragon. You will have approximately 10 minutes to share your prime investment opportunities with each Dragon.  Every 10 minutes, you will rotate to another Dragon until the morning session concludes.

At approximately noon, you’re welcome to join us for a special presentation and group lunch before your departure.

Afternoon Session Format:

Arrive at the OITC prior to noon to join us for a special presentation and group lunch.  The afternoon session will begin at 1:00 pm and you will rotate every 10 minutes, meeting all the Dragons before the event conclusion prior to 3:00 pm.

Unfortunately, space is limited to only 20 communities. No more than 3 people per municipality will be able to attend the event.

Cost per person to register is $65 plus HST which includes lunch and the opportunity to have a private discussion with the Dragon investors developers, and influencers.   

This information exchange event is only open to public sector and economic development officials.
